Curriculum
Three Pillars of GAP Curriculum
Bible
Goal: Develop a solid biblical foundation that inspires and cultivates ongoing, transformative Bible study.
“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”
The first two months will focus on the overarching redemptive narrative of the Bible with a focus on the covenants and the centrality of Christ. In the remaining months, students will be taught basic biblical interpretation through the inductive study of 2 Old Testament and 5 New Testament books.
Life Leadership
Goal: Provide a framework for Godly success in both private and public life.
“…that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God”
The first part of the year will focus on personal salvation and sanctification with attention to both input and outflow. The public sectors of life including the church, community and career will then be examined as students are equipped to build a life of true success in worship, ministry, relationships, service and work.
Christian Worldview
Goal: Establish a biblical worldview that equips students to be effective ministers of the gospel in an opposing culture.
“But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence”
The first focus will be gaining confidence in the reason for a biblical world view. Opposing world views will then be analyzed. Next students will work to formulate biblical responses to common questions posed by the skeptic. Lastly, students will learn how to engage social issues with biblical truth.
